Chemical Engineering and Materials Science Undergraduate Studies

Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science Undergraduate Studies: Where Hands-On Experience Prepares You for Real-World Success

Improve the world around you while you build a rewarding career developing state-of-the-art products and processes for such industries as energy, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, polymers and plastics, semiconductors and environmental monitoring.

With an emphasis on one-on-one attention and collaborative research that bridges science and engineering, our undergraduate program is designed to equip you with the skills to conceive, design, test, operate and optimize the industrial chemical processes that impact our well-being and everyday lives.

Although chemical engineering is reputed to be one of the most academically rigorous majors, our department has produced a disproportionately high number of Stevens valedictorians. The undergraduate chemical engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
