Future-Focused, Industry-Tested: Capstone Excellence Takes Center Stage

Stevens Innovation Expo 2025 logoThe 2025 Stevens Innovation Expo, held on Friday, May 9, showcased the pinnacle of undergraduate achievement through senior capstone projects that demonstrate our students' readiness to solve tomorrow's challenges. This annual celebration of student design, innovation and entrepreneurship featured over 200 capstone projects representing the culmination of our undergraduate students' academic journeys at Stevens.

The day-long event included presentations from all three schools, the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Concert, the Thomas H. Scholl Lecture by Visiting Entrepreneurs, the Gallois Autonomous Robot Competition and the Ansary Entrepreneurship Competition, which marked its tenth anniversary this year.

The Stevens Difference

At Stevens, the capstone experience is more than just a final project — it's where classroom learning transforms into real-world innovation. Our program challenges students to:

  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams tackling authentic problems

  • Partner with industry sponsors to develop market-ready solutions

  • Design, prototype and test innovations with real-world applications

  • Present their work to industry professionals and potential investors

  • Develop entrepreneurial mindsets that prepare them for career success
