Meet the Staff
Phillip Gehman, Director of Disability Services
In his role as Director, Phillip supervises the provision of services for students with disabilities within all undergraduate and graduate programs at Stevens. Phillip is responsible for developing and updating policies and procedures, managing the office operating budget, and representing the office on various University, state, and national committees and associations. Prior to joining Stevens, Phillip oversaw the Office of Disability Services at Susquehanna University, in Pennsylvania. Phillip received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Louisville and he remains a passionate fan of the University of Louisville athletic programs. Phillip is also fluent in American Sign Language and enjoys signing whenever he gets the opportunity. Email: pgehman@stevens.edu
Amanda Olivo, Coordinator of Disability Services
Amanda collaborates with the Director of the Office of Disability Services to oversee the office’s operations and regularly meets with students to support their development in time management, navigating campus resources, and fostering connections with peers. Before joining the team at Stevens, Amanda served as a Resident Director at Marist University in Poughkeepsie, NY, where she worked closely with students on housing needs. Additionally, she volunteered in the Office of Accommodations and Accessibility, where she assisted with exam proctoring, served on committees, and supported housing accommodations as needed. Amanda holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Hartwick College and a Master's Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Email: aolivo@stevens.edu
Tina David-Cisse, Graduate Coordinator of Disability Services
As the Graduate Coordinator Tina works alongside Amanda the Coordinator of Disability services and Phillip the Director of Disability Services to meet the needs of students at Stevens. Tina is currently a Graduate student at New York University pursuing a Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Prior to joining Stevens Tina earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science at Montclair State University. Tina is excited to join The Office of Disability Services this year and help students thrive at Stevens.
