The Office of Student Culture and Belonging serves as the hub for support services, resources, and educational programming related to LGBTQ+ identity.  We continually work to ensure that the campus feels welcoming and supportive to all students, and we encourage feedback and suggestions as we continue to offer resources and programming.  We welcome you to visit the websites and links below and visit our office in the University Center or contact studentbelonging@stevens.edu.

Safe Zone Ally Program LogoSafe Zone Ally Program

The Stevens Safe Zone Ally Program is a campus-wide initiative designed to educate Stevens community members on LGBTQ+ identity, current (in)justices impacting the LGBTQ+ community, and visibly identify Stevens staff, students, and faculty who seek to support the campus' LGBTQ+ population. 

All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend a Safe Zone workshop in order to learn about important campus resources, understand how to better support LGBTQ+ peers as an ally, and build a more inclusive community. After completion, all participants will receive a Safe Zone sticker or magnet to display.

LGBTQ Events

Stevens supports transgender and gender non-conforming students, faculty, staff and visitors in availing themselves of all benefits available to them as part of the Stevens community. For more information, view our institutional guidance on Rights of Transgender Members of the Stevens Community.

Any Stevens student, faculty or staff can change their name, gender, and/or pronouns for internal systems by following the directions in our Workday Tutorials, or by following the steps outlined below.

Torch AllianceTorch Alliance

Torch Alliance is a student organization where people who identify as LGBTQ, who may be questioning their sexuality, or who simply want to support the LGBTQ community can come together and socialize. We are a social organization who meets on a regular basis to discuss current issues, offer support, and to provide a social outlet. Contact Torch at torch@stevens.edu.
