Schaefer School Board of Advisors

The Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science Board of Advisors is comprised of a diverse group of individuals, distinguished in their careers that span a spectrum of fields related to the educational and research programs of the Schaefer School.

The Board meets at least twice per year and is charged with providing strategic counsel to the Dean, establishing mutually beneficial connections to industry, government, and other organizations, helping raise funds in support of the School’s priority goals, and increasing the profile of the Schaefer School.

Anthony Bazzini.Anthony Bazzini '81

Former Manager, Project Management Division, ExxonMobil Research and Engineering

Anthony (Tony) Bazzini, Manager of the Project Management Division of ExxonMobil Research and Engineering, received his B.E. in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He has held multiple positions within ExxonMobil throughout his career and worked on a multitude of projects all over the world including the Exxon Valdez recovery efforts in Valdez, Alaska.  

Sue Bradham.Sue Bradham ’91

Former Sr. Director, Commercial Development, Sempra Energy Company

Sue Bradham has more than 25 years of domestic and international business experience in diverse leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, including Sempra Energy and ExxonMobil. Her experience includes leading international investor relations; creating business, marketing, and financial plans; developing client, partner, and supplier relationships; and negotiating commercial contracts, joint ventures, and M&A transactions. Sue earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Sue is also a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.

Jim Breen.Jim Breen '83

Vice President, Lead Biologic Expansion, Janssen Pharmaceutical, Johnson & Johnson

Jim Breen joined Johnson & Johnson in 1997 in Shanghai, China and has progressed through a variety of roles in project management, manufacturing, and engineering in the biologics, pharmaceutical, and corporate groups. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, Master of Business Administration from Drexel University and Master of Engineering in Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jerome Brown.Jerome Brown '99

Vice President and Quality Office Director, HDR

Jerome Brown is vice president and the quality office director for HDR, overseeing global quality management system development and implementation. A native of Northern California’s Central Valley, Brown earned his bachelor of engineering in mechanical engineering with a concentration in manufacturing technologies at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Lance Richard Bruck.Lance Richard Bruck, M.D., CPE, FACOG, FACS

Vice President and Chairman, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health at Jersey City Medical Center/RWJ Barnabas Health

Lance Richard Bruck is a Clinical Professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Bruck also holds the academic positions of residency program director, fellowship director in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, medical student clerkship director and serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at his alma mater, Muhlenberg College. Dr. Bruck has spent 27 years in academic medicine holding positions at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Columbia University, College of Physician and Surgeons, Yale University and New York Medical College.

Chris Coccio.Chris Coccio '63

Chairman and CEO, Sono-Tek Corporation

Christopher Coccio has been chairman and CEO of Sono-Tek Corporation since 2001. In that capacity, he has made significant advances in the technology, geographical and application markets, and the financial success of the company. He has also developed the management structure and talent of the team for the future. Coccio received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, followed by a M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Senior Vice President and Head of Manufacturing Strategy, Business Development & Alliances, Merck

Moushmi Culver leads all business development, network strategy, third party sales and global alliance management activities for the manufacturing division, which includes evaluating acquisitions, divestitures, licensing opportunities and strategic business alliances that have potential for alignment with Merck’s long-range strategic plans. Additionally, she leads Manufacturing Strategy, the Portfolio Management Office, Shared Services, and the Manufacturing Leadership Development Program (MLDP). Culver joined Merck in 2000 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in Manufacturing, Global Procurement, and the Corporate Strategy Office. Culver received her B.E. in chemical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.

Norman Eng.Norman Eng M.Eng ’09

Vice President, US Defense Digital Strategy, Siemens Government Technologies

Norm Eng currently supports the digital transformation of the DoD and Aerospace and Defense Industry customers for Siemens. In 2021, Norm retired after 35 years with Northrop Grumman as the Vice President of Engineering at Palmdale, CA, Oklahoma City, OK, and El Segundo, CA. In that role, he led the technical team performing engineering design and analysis, engineering production support, and ground and flight testing in the Antelope Valley. Norm has also served as chief engineer on important aircraft programs. Norm holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an MBA from CW Post–Long Island University, and a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Isabel Espina.Isabel Espina '87 (Board Chair)

Vice President, ADP Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence

As Vice President of ADP’s Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence, Isabel Espina is responsible for defining the standards around technology, data, processes, security, and infrastructure for ADP’s global products. Espina has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Kevin LoughranKevin Loughran '85

Vice President and Wireless Chief Technology Officer, Jabil

As Wireless CTO, Kevin Loughran is responsible for setting strategy and direction for Jabil’s products and services in the 5G Wireless space. This includes driving the technology roadmap, establishing strategic relationships with customers and ecosystem partners, and leading Jabil’s global R&D centers. Loughran received a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Computer Science from Stevens in 1985.

Dominique Lueckenhoff serves as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs, EHS & Sustainability at Hugo Neu Corporation. Reporting to the Chair and CEO, she leads the company’s global efforts in corporate sustainability, climate resiliency, environment, health and safety compliance, practices and policy, public and community affairs, and green business growth and investment with a focus on Kearny Point, Hugo Neu’s billion-dollar sustainable redevelopment commercial/industrial campus.

Bernard McNeilly.Bernard P. McNeilly '85 M.S. '89, Vice-Chair

Executive Vice President, LiRo Group

Bernard (Bernie) McNeilly is the Executive Vice President for the LiRo Group and is responsible for the delivery and growth of the design capabilities of the firm across all its offices. This includes civil, structures, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, telecommunications, architecture, and sustainable design as well as BIM & virtual design and construction services for public and private clients alike. Markets include education, public works & infrastructure, parks & recreation, judicial/correctional, cultural, healthcare, water/wastewater, and aviation. Focus is on the client delivery for clients in the Northeast Corridor. He is responsible for strategy, execution and delivery for all design markets and services. Bernie controls the profit/loss responsibility with a focus on increasing pipeline, client accounts, hard backlog, and revenue; retaining/growing workforce; and risk management. Bernie is part of the US Executive team.

Vivek RajgarhiaVivek Rajgarhia ’89

President & GM, POET Technologies Inc

Vivek Rajgarhia has been a successful entrepreneur and intrapreneur in the optical communications and semiconductor industry for over 30 years. He has founded two optical companies and has held senior executive positions, building global businesses, at public companies such as Lucent Technologies, Hitachi (OpNext), MACOM and POET. Vivek received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Frank Roberto.Frank Roberto '76

Former Manager in ExxonMobil Global Projects Company

Frank Roberto retired from the project development division of ExxonMobil in the Global Projects Company in 2021, at the time located in the company’s Spring, Texas offices. In this role he supported new project development, as well as existing operations worldwide, across the company. Roberto graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

Bruce Stroever.Bruce Stroever '72

Former President and CEO at Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation (MTF)

Bruce W. Stroever has 45 years of product development and general management experience in the medical device and orthobiologics fields. He has retired as president and CEO of the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation. He received his B.Eng. in mechanical and chemical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and his M.S. in bioengineering from Columbia University.

Tendü Yoğurtçu.Tendü Yoğurtçu, '00

Chief Technology Officer, Precisely

Tendü Yoğurtçu, Ph.D., is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Precisely. In this role, she directs the company’s technology strategy and innovation, leading all product research, and development programs. Yoğurtçu received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul.

William E. Witowsky.William E. Witowsky '79

Former Senior Fellow, Texas Instruments (TI)

William (Bill) E. Witowsky has over 35 years experience in design and development of telecommunications products, silicon and software. Witowsky was most recently a senior fellow at Texas Instruments and served as chief technical officer of systems and software architecture for the Digital Signal Processing Systems Group. Witowsky received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and his M.S. in computer science from Johns Hopkins University.
