2022 Summer Student Research Fellowship
The Center for Neuromechanics is starting a new summer research program for undergraduate and graduate students at Stevens, as well as high school students in the Hoboken area who are interested in the brain. As part of the 10-week summer research program, fellows will be matched with a mentor, contribute to their research program, and participate in a weekly seminar series about neuroscience, neuromechanics, and clinical research on neurological diseases. At the end of the summer, we will come together for a summer conference to present each fellow’s research findings and a panel discussion on future trends in neuromechanics. The goal of the summer program is to submit an abstract to a conference, establish a working relationship with one of Stevens research groups, and to gain valuable experience towards a career in neuroscience, neuromechanics, or the health-sciences.
The program provides:
Each fellow will receive a stipend of $2,000. We expect the Center for Neuromechanics Summer Fellows to work towards a conference abstract or even peer-reviewed paper. Students with an accepted conference abstract will receive a travel grant to support conference participation.
