Abstract Submissions and Poster Format

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstracts for the 7th Stevens Conference on Bacteria-Material Interactions are due by April 15, 2025.

Authors should prepare their papers according to the formatting directions found in the abstract template.

Important Notes

The maximum abstract length is one (1) page with 1” margins.
We recommend not including images, graphs, or tables.
Do not insert page numbers or headers and footers.

Abstracts must be submitted by Wednesday, April 15, 2025 as a Word file (.doc or .docx) by emailing biomaterials@stevens.edu with a clear subject line “Abstract Submission.”

Poster Format and Guidelines

Posters will be presented during the entire conference near the lecture area. All posters should have landscape orientation and should have maximum dimensions of 48” wide and 36” tall.
A subset of the poster presenters will also be asked to give a Rapid Fire (RF) oral presentation. These RF presentations will be allocated 4 mins (2-4 powerpoint slides) to orally highlight their poster. RF presenters will be notified when the program is finalized.
