Our student-athletes have long excelled on the field and in the classroom, from Stevens’ first Academic All-American in 1974, basketball standout Tom McInerney ’74, to the most recent NCAA national title. 

The Facts

3.61: Stevens’ student-athlete average cumulative GPA vs. 3.19 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) average for the 2023-2024 academic year 

19: National championships since 2011, individual: women’s cross country (two), men’s swimming (one), women’s swimming (four), women’s track and field (nine), wrestling (one); and team: men’s volleyball (two) 

14: Consecutive years Stevens has finished in the top 10% of Division III schools (~450) in the Learfield Directors’ Cup, which recognizes overall athletic success 

77: Stevens’ all-time number of Academic All-America® honorees, placing it in the top 12% of all colleges (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, JUCO) nationally 

570/55: Student-athletes placing on the 2023-2024 MAC Academic Honor Roll and Academic All-Conference team, respectively, which once again led the conference

  • The MLK Week of Service in January saw 825 Stevens students, faculty, staff and alumni participate in community service, educational programs and discussions on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision for justice, equality and a "beloved community."

  • According to Stevens’ Undergraduate Class of 2024 Career Outcomes Report, 96.8% of graduates achieved their desired outcome — employment or graduate school — within six months of graduation. (For women graduates, it’s 98%.) They earn an average salary of $84,800.

  • Stevens President Nariman Farvardin has been named to the NJBIZ 2025 Power 100 List, which showcases New Jersey’s power players who are leading key organizations, creating change, impacting the community and engaging others to succeed.

  • The six-year graduation rate for Stevens’ student-athletes is 95.1% vs. an average 69.9% for fellow Middle Atlantic Conference student-athletes (Fall ’18 freshman cohort).

  • The freshman-to-sophomore retention rate for Stevens student-athletes is 97.8% vs. an average 81.7% for fellow Middle Atlantic Conference student-athletes (Fall ’23 freshman class).
