Transfer Students Rights and Responsibilities
Transferring to Stevens Institute of Technology is an exciting step toward your academic and professional goals. To ensure a smooth transition, it’s important to understand the process for evaluating transfer credits and to follow the required steps carefully. By submitting the appropriate documentation and adhering to Stevens’ policies and deadlines, you’ll help facilitate a timely and accurate review of your previous coursework.
You have the right to a prompt and fair evaluation of transfer credits.
To ensure timely processing, submit the required documents — official transcripts (via your previous institution(s)), course syllabi and a transfer credit evaluation form through your Stevens student portal.
Please review and adhere to the credit evaluation policies in the Evaluating Your Credits section, ensuring that only courses which meet the established criteria are submitted for review. It's important to recognize that earning a degree from Stevens is a significant achievement, and the courses you submit should reflect the rigor and quality that contribute to your long-term success.
It’s important to respond promptly to Stevens communications and adhere to all admissions deadlines.
After the assessment of your transfer credits is complete, you can request an evaluation of any additional credits through your Workday account once admitted. Students may be admitted to Stevens while their transfer credit evaluation is still in progress. Once admitted and after receiving their credentials and Stevens email, you can submit summer courses or any other courses not previously evaluated.
