About The M.E. In Mechanical Engineering Program
Whether you plan to pursue a terminal degree or advance your career in industry, the Stevens mechanical engineering master’s program will point you toward success.
At Stevens—the first institution in the country to offer a mechanical engineering degree—you’ll develop both fundamental knowledge in basic concepts and a science-based understanding of current and emerging/future technologies and applications spanning the broad mechanical engineering discipline. You’ll work with expert faculty who will train you to position emerging technologies, lead high-quality product development and manage projects with exacting standards.
When you graduate, you’ll be ready to thrive in the automotive, medical device, additive manufacturing, renewable energy, robotics and automation, power generation and aerospace industries—among many others.
Degree Requirements
The program is a 30-credit degree program. Students are required to complete:
2 core courses (6 credits)
at least 4 courses (12 credits) from any one of the seven concentrations below
4 courses (12 credits) of electives including:
no more than 2 non-ME graduate courses
