General Information

Prof. Yu-Dong Yao has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology since 2000, where he served as Department Chair from 2007 to 2018. Prior to joining Stevens, he held positions at Qualcomm in San Diego, Spar Aerospace in Montreal, and Carleton University in Ottawa. His current research focuses on AI, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms, with applications spanning two primary areas: (1) wireless communications and networks, including sensors, signals, and protocols; and (2) medical and biomedical engineering, particularly involving biological signals and medical imaging.
