Research
Current Research: Advanced Quantum Materials and Sensing Explore 2D dilute magnetic semiconductors via an in situ substitutional doping of metal atoms into the transition metal lattice sites in TMD monolayers, probe ferromagnetism at room temperature, and study electron transport in 2D materials. This new class of materials finds critical applications, including spintronic memories and detectors.
Past Innovations: MEMS Technologies for Adaptive Optics Developed MEMS-based adaptive optics for ultra-large space telescopes at NASA/JPL. These projects were funded by NASA, JPL, and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
