Research

The thesis of my research interest is to “develop software tools, hardware, processes, frameworks and systems that can be used to efficiently collect and process data from sensors to control hardware, and to use image processing, signal processing, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms to extract useful and actionable information from data.

The totality of my research interests can be described using a sunflower model. At the center of the sunflower is a set of processes, data acquisition and processing software libraries, software development kits (SDKs), and hardware that provide data acquisition, processing, and interaction with the real world. The petals of the sunflower are the application of the framework to different industries. The petals of the sunflower are the image processing, signal processing, and machine learning algorithms, together with systems integration processes, applied to specific industries: geospatial, medical, eCommerce, financial, industrial, gaming and more.
