Submitting Test Scores

Stevens Institute of Technology will be extending its SAT/ACT test optional policy, with some exceptions (as noted below) for first-year applicants applying for entry terms Fall 2024, Fall 2025, and Fall 2026 and transfer applicants applying for entry terms between Spring 2024 and Fall 2026. The test optional policy will be re-evaluated after this period.

The test optional plan requires applicants to indicate on their application for admission, if they will submit test scores.  Those who choose to self-report test scores agree to submit official test scores from the appropriate testing agency as an application requirement.

The test optional plan does not eliminate the need for demonstrated language proficiency.  Non-native English-speaking students will still be required to submit results from an English language proficiency exam (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, SAT EBRW or Duolingo).

If you are applying to our Accelerated Pre-Medicine or Pre-Law programs, test scores must still be submitted.

Use the following institutional codes when submitting your standardized test scores:

  • SAT: 2819

  • ACT: 2610
