Information Technology at Stevens

Stevens is constantly improving the technology experience both on and off campus. We are a national leader in graphic-accelerated virtualization to enable access to specialized software you will use during your studies. While at Stevens, we will provide you with a secure and seamless login experience through Single Sign On, you will have storage for your coursework through Microsoft OneDrive and access to many of the same applications (Microsoft M365, LastPass, antivirus) that employers use to conduct business. We offer an exemplary technology-enhanced classroom environment, as well as premier video collaboration tools to optimize learning, unlimited access to supplementary online training, an extended reality (XR) lab and many other tools to help you be successful. Incoming students can find the technology they need through the student digital backpack. You can get impeccable customer service by calling us 24/7, chatting with our AI enabled chatbot (Attila), contacting us through our Stevens support portal or emailing us at support@stevens.edu. Stevens Laptop Program

All students need to bring a laptop to campus for use in Stevens courses. The laptop you bring must meet minimum technical standards to run the software applications used at Stevens and to be compatible with our network and core systems. Stevens has established a partnership with Dell and Apple that allows you to purchase high-quality, commercial grade laptops and accessories at discounted prices. University students carry their laptops to classes in backpacks, use them in the library and in student dining and count on them to last for at least four to five years of heavy use. Commercial-grade laptops are much more durable and resistant to breakage. Their components are better as well. For all the above reasons, you will find that the laptops offered through this program are commercial grade and hence may cost a little more than discounted, consumer-class computers you find online or in-store. Please visitstevens.edu/laptopprogram or call 201-380-6599 for more information and for specifications by program of study.
